Going out to eat in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

The invigorating mountain air in the Alps stimulates one’s appetite. The Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl comes with 3 restaurants, a great terrace, a stunning view and an elegant bar.

So the restaurants at the Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl have tasty dishes in store for you, which will definitely satisfy you. We emphasize freshness and variety – this is also emerging at our rich breakfast buffet in the Red Salon. Fruits and vegetables, dairy foods, a sausage and cheese selection and of course coffee or tea: This is just a small sample of our daily offer. A good start for your upcoming activities!

Later in the day, the Casper B. restaurant will welcome you with hot meals – here you can enjoy classical Bavarian dishes with an international accent.

The cosy Fondue Stüberl is open in winter and you can warm yourself and the cockles of your heart with a delicious fondue in a rustic atmosphere. For dessert you have to try the chocolate fondue!

You can then end your day over a drink in the hotel’s bar, the Peacock Lounge. The stunning view of the Zugspitze and the Alps are a highlight.

Tradition Meets Modernity

The Caspar B. restaurant combines tradition and modernity in both design and culinary terms. The restaurant convinces with its internationally-flavoured Bavarian cuisine. Named after Caspar Bader, the first manager of the Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl, the Caspar B. is today the culinary heart of the hotel.

Breakfast with a view of the Alps

In the Red Salon the ample breakfast buffet of the Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl is served every day. In the summer months our guests can also have breakfast on the adjoining terrace. During this period we also provide an oriental corner with halal dishes.

Our house bar, the Peacock Gin & Co. Bar, is outstandingly suitable for watching the sun go down in Garmisch-Partenkirchen over an “off-the-wall” cocktail or a good drink. You can also enjoy the delicacies on our snacks menu. Our large selection of gin bottles is especially impressive.

 

Fondue Stüberl

Cosy Evenings

Our Fondue Stüberl (“Stone Pine Room”) is open in the winter months when Garmisch-Partenkirchen adorned under a thick layer of snow. From December to March, Swiss specialities are served in an original alpine chalet atmosphere. You can also look forward to classic fondues with excellent meat, cheese or dreamlike chocolate fondue.
